Welcome to the Appolicious review of the iTranslate Voice app. It's a very well done app from Sonico, and it's a great follow up to the text based iTranslate. It works surprisingly well at times, and not very well at other times. Certain languages seem harder to translate than others, and it's all much more difficult if you have issues speaking clearly, as I sometimes do. Still, it's really impressive and pretty versatile, overall. more »
Wild Blood is the latest big release from Gameloft, and really, It's the most original Gameloft game to date. At least, relatively. It doesn't seem to be emulating any one specific game, but rather it mixes and matches a wide variety of them, much like any other cash in type titles. It's a hack-and-slash action game along the lines of God of War or Devil May Cry, but it also draws inspiration from Darksiders and others. On top of that, it's the only game I can think of that pulls a Dante's Inferno style ret-con of the classic tale of King Arthur. more »
Well… This is rather unexpected. Party Wave is the first mobile title from game development studio, Mistwalker. For those of you who don't know, Mistwalker is headed by the legendary game developer and creator of the Final Fantasy franchise, Hironobu Sakaguchi. Mistwalker has continued to put out RPGs with more classical design, and most of us were expecting an RPG on iOS as well. What we get instead is a novel and unique casual arcade title about group surfing, and it is surprisingly charming and well done! Apparently surfing is a passion of Sakaguchi-san, and this was a very personal project for him! more »
Robbery Bob is a solid new game from Level Eight and Chillingo. It’s a quality title with fun stealth gameplay and colorful 3D visuals from a top down 2D perspective. It has good music and sound design, and some genuinely funny and charming moments. It’s not a very long game and it can sometimes feel repetitive, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. more »
The Infinity Project was a fairly well-made first person shooter that hit the App Store at the end of 2009. Despite its dated visuals and lack of polish, many regard it as an iOS classic. Now, that game finally gets a sequel, simply titled The Infinity Project 2, and it's a far more ambitious title that makes several improvements, even if it still seems dated. more »

Paper Monsters is a new platformer from Robots Vs. Wizards, published by Crescent Moon Games. It's a very simple yet fun platformer that is highly accessible; aimed at younger audiences and classic gaming fans alike. Transport yourself into this beautifully rendered paper-mache world and have a grand old time. The game is certainly flawed, but designed to be easily enjoyable by anyone, at least for a while. more »
The long awaited sequel to Firemint’s hit line drawing game Flight Control is finally here. Flight Control Rocket takes the fan favorite mechanics we all know and love and adds tons of variety to the mix, along with a shiny new coat of outer space sci-fi. It has the same heart as its predecessor, but unfortunately that heart is tainted by the overuse of in-app purchase micro-transactions. more »
