Asphalt 4 Elite Racing - Gameloft has officially broken the barrier in iPhone game by releasing Asphalt 4 Elite Racing. This racing game for the iPhone offers the best graphics and sound yet with a very robust gameplay and customization set very much in key with all of todays modern racing games.
You have the ability to select your car from a vast array of options that continue to unlock as you progress. From there you can customize each car to make it look exactly like you would like. You're also able to play on maps all over the world and even select a girl to join you on your next joy ride.
Controlling the car does not use the accelerometer, but it does use the touch screen. So you'll be tapping on which side of the screen you want to go.

There are cops who will start to follow you, including helicopters, and you can even wipe out your opponents. The car does accelerate on it's own, but having a nitro boast makes it easier for you to increase the speed.
Couple all of this with multiplayer action and you've really got a game that stands out above the crowd. Asphalt 4 looks beautiful and handles beautifully. There are little to no hang ups and the game only crashes if you've been burning through apps for hours beforehand it would appear. This is a must have second page app for any iPhone gamer.

Best Racing Game

This game is addicting. As you progress, new cars, tracks, races and girls are unlocked. The initial review was incorrect, the steering can be set to touch (sides of screen), steering wheel (drag on the little wheel at the bottom of the screen) or use the accelerometer to tilt the iPhone/Touch to steer and drift.


The graphics are smooth and top-notch and the wide selection of tracks and different race types keep it interesting for repeat play.

Races include top finish (you must finish in the top 3), Duel (with another car), Beat 'em all (crash them into the walls) and cop chase (you are the cop).

Tracks are in Los Angeles, Paris, Monte Carlo, New York (with snow), Shanghai, Dubai, Las Vegas, Rome, Saint Petersburg, San Francisco, Mubai, and Hawaii.

Card available are all fully licensed real models from Mini Cooper to Ferrari to Aston Martin to Corvette ZR1. All your favorites are included and fully customizable with everything from upgraded suspension, engines, brakes, paint, tires, exhaust, crankshaft, CCs, cylinders, pistons, transmission, and weight mods. There are even a few motorcycles to keep things interesting.

The music is great, graphics fluid and very high quality.

There is even a Multi-Player mode if you have a local Wi-Fi network and friends with Asphalt 4 on their iPhones. Everyone must be on the same local wi-fi network, internet play is not available.

If you are into racing games, this is one you must have on your iPhone/iPod Touch.

crashing.....and i'm not talking in the game!!!

i figure I post a review/comment here b/c for some reason itunes is not letting me write a review for asphalt even tho I have purchased the game and it is sitting right there in itunes!! short and sweet...3 stars... my pros: -content & customization my cons: -crashes ALOT especially on the NY map..i wonder if they got rid of the snow, it would help with the lag. -framerate lag with even NO other cars -high pitched chipmunk announcer voice sometimes..... -bug - i would finish a race at first place..and my position will say 1 of 8..1/8...and the announcer says and displays on the screen 3rd place!!..wtf?! -crashing after reboot...reformat...etc... i have 5gb free on my iphone so i know its not a lack of memory issue... these are just some issues i've had with it since i bought it 2 days ago... now i hope i can copy and paste this review onto itunes!!!

This is one the best racing games ever. The only down side of this game is that once you get to the final level and you get the main car, thats it. There is no other secret levels, your car is jacked up with the mods and you're beating every car in site without the boost.
I hope that the company actually continues with this game and creates new levels, new cities. Other than that its a must have video game.

haha in Sweden it only costs a dollar such as many other of your expensive apps.
I thougt that it was to easy to win, i won every race in a row. It is to easy to get money so you can upgrade your car to the fullest after one race. The car slides every turn which is very annoying. Many different types of races, that is awesome.
