Games » Aurora Feint Review

Wow. How did a gem like this sneak into the App Store? Ignoring the fact that this game is free (yes, free), we'd be more than willing to throw down a fiver for it. Apparently the developers are working on a Massively Online Game with the brand, so this just wets our whistle.
Aurora Feint revolves around mining magical resources by creating horizontal or vertical rows of like elements. You can drag blocks left or right to form these combinations and even tilt the iPhone to the side or upside down to make them cascade down into matches. Resources acquired during gameplay can then be used to buy and unlock various powerups, which help progress you forward through the game.
Unfortunately not a lot of the story is revealed to you past the introduction video added in the latest update.

For information on the game and the world that surrounds it, you'll have to check with the developers website for the back story and what plans they have in store.
This is one of those titles that makes you realize the splash that the iPhone is going to create. Great graphics, addictive gameplay, good sound and an experience that is matched only by top casual PC games. Aurora Feint is great little app that will only get better. Not to mention, you can track your buddies' progress as they move through the game. We enjoy ridiculing the lowly peons around here. Free.

Very Addicting

I really like the way this game gives the player many options to create matches by moving the different tiles around.  Other games are much more limited when it comes to matching tiles.  This game is very addicting, although I am bothered by the time sensitive levels.  It seems like the game does not help the player by giving enough possible matches before the time runs out, which results in a loss...and a very frustrating one at that.  That is my only complaint. Otherwise, I find this game very fun and I would definitley play it again.

This puzzle game has just the right balance of difficulty and challenge. The power ups ensure you'll come back again and again, leveling up your character. I really like the gameplay and the graphics/sound are stunning for an iPhone App, not to mention one that is free.

I really enjoy this game. I like the mix between Bejeweled and RPG. The graphics and playability is fantastic, also the sounds are awesome.
And over everything. It's free!

Great little game, works well on the iPod Touch. Good controls, lots of depth and a little strategy. All in all, really good fun - especially as the first instalment is free!

This is a must have game at this price ;). Granted, I've only been playing it for one day but it is a nice twist to typical puzzle games with the leveling and powers that you can get. The graphics are outstanding.
Even my 8 yr. old daughter is really enjoying it.
Get it!

this game is super addictive although a bit repetitive. it's somewhere between bejeweled and puzzlequest, lacking the what i truly love about the latter. i do highly enjoy the game but find myself hoping that something new is eventually going to happen when i get to a new level or whatever..

that being said.. for free, its a no-brainer, get it!
