BreakClassic is an iPhone app that takes the classic game of Break Out and makes it a bit more colorful. Considering the title of the game isn't BreakAdvanced or anything implying that the game has been made more modern or more difficult, there isn't any reason to assume that the complexity of this pong-solitaire style game would be any different than it was on Atari.
The object of the game is to bounce a ball at the block on the top of the screen without letting the ball fall past the bottom of the screen. BreakClassic has a good deal of levels that you may or may not have played through before (considering there's only so many ways to arrange blocks at the top of the screen) but will still enjoy nonetheless. The entire game has been given a bit of a face lift graphics wise, as the environment is now in 3D. The colors are very sharp and do increase your speed or points depending on which ones you hit.

But while the game does look different on the surface, you've still most likely played this many times before.
Controlling the paddle at the bottom can be difficult for those with fingers bigger than a 4th grade girl. Chances are, when your finger is on your paddle to move it side to side, you won't actually see the paddle. This can make it difficult to get the right angle you need to knock out those last remaining blocks or it could cost you your last life. When you're done playing the game, you can easily exit the app at will and return to where you were from the games main menu when you launch it next.
The lite version makes it a free game for the iPhone, so you can't really argue with it. But, that doesn't mean that you should download it. BreakClassic may be nostalgic for some iPhone users, but for the rest of you, don't bother downloading this game as you'll just end up deleting it within the day.

The control is a little spotty, but other than that it plays like you expect it to play. My kids love it and play it constantly. I will sometimes get on and play around with it.
If you liked the original Breakout, you'll like this game.
