In Crush Bunny, you are cast as savior of the bunnies. Every bunny is precious, even if these particular ones seem to be constructed of Lego's. It is a reciprocal relationship. The bunnies need protection, and you, as savior of the bunnies, progress through their happiness. They're at their hop-pity happiest when the meteors that plague their land are diverted or destroyed.
The meteors fall continually on your flock of devout bunnies indicated by a timer and movable arrow. You control where the meteors fall by tilting your device. The power of life and death are in your hands! With such responsibility, luckily there are helpful barriers and blockades for sale which absorb the meteoric blasts. You also wear the fire fighter and medic hat as no two meteors are alike. Selecting the necessary remedy for the situation is easy but does cost some money. You earn money by saving the bunnies. Why save the little bunnies, you ask? To harvest their happiness, of course. The bunnies don't like being smashed or set afire. Prevent these things from happening and their happiness will flow like the greatest of rivers. Fill up the meter at the bottom of the screen with precious bunny love and the level is yours, forever.

Crush Bunny features some very fun and well done mini games to spice up the action. Epileptics beware when a colorful disco-party erupts out of no where. It is very Tap Tap Revolution-esque as you must hit four buttons as they light up. Do a good job and the meteors will be broken to bits by the bunny disco dancing. Another sweet mini-game I encountered involved shooting rockets at the falling meteors with cross hairs. These mini-games are a wonderful addition to a game with an already different style of play.
The game is fun with its unlockable barriers and skills as well as an achievement system. The online scoreboard is one of the best implementations I've ever seen with its Facebook and location integration. However, I found it difficult to lose on hard difficulty. The barriers can absorb two meteors, each one earning you enough money to buy another barrier just as the cool-down finishes. As the previous barrier is destroyed buy another one to permanently protect your bunny followers.
Even with this issue, Crush Bunny is loads of fun and something I would have no problem recommending to someone looking for a game with different features and a gameplay style of its own. The graphics are good but nothing ground breaking. There are some funny animations and great sound effects included as well. Crush Bunny crams a lot under a tiny price tag of 99 cents. There is absolutely more than 99 cents worth of fun in Crush Bunny.
