The Grand Theft Auto series has been around for ages and it seems with each new platform a new game is sure to follow. Chinatown Wars was originally released for the Nintendo DS and has been ported over for mass consumption on the iPhone and iPod Touch. But this game isn't just another poorly transitioned copy.
The iPhone version is customized to fit perfectly with the touch interface. The app features the signature lifestyle of depravity one would come to expect from a GTA game. There is plenty of foul language and highly mature themes which makes this game extremely inappropriate for younger children.
The controls of the game handle much like the various clones of the genre that can be found in the appstore. There are 3 buttons that change based on your context in the game. The game features a surprising amount of detail with subtle humor and plenty of minigames and jumps to explore.
The game itself lasts for quite a while and even after it is over, it is still entertaining to drive around and explore the side missions. The price it is currently listed for makes me a little hesitant to recommend it but for the content you are getting, it can most surely be justified. Check it out.
