iQuickDraw is a unique accelerometer game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that makes dueling with your device a little bit safer. This app uses the accelerometer and touch interface to provide a virtual dueling experience for one or two players.
This game is pretty simple but very enjoyable. The game is broken down into three different play modes: duel, practice, and 2 player. Duel has you go head to head against a computer player, practice sets you up against a bullseye to test your accuracy, and 2 player is the same as duel just over local WiFi instead. Each mode offers a different way to enjoy the game. Unfortunately because the app does cost, it?s not as easy to convince your friends to try it out.
The way you play the game is the same regardless of the mode. Grip the phone in your hand with the screen completely visible.

Hold the gun straight out and  press the prepare to draw button. Lower the gun to your side and wait for your device to vibrate or the voice to yell draw. Now, pull your arm straight up like you would if you were in a real duel and tap anywhere on the screen. Depending on how straight you brought your arm up and how fast you tapped the screen you may have won or you may have missed your target completely.
Don?t let the cartoony feel to this game fool you, iQuickDraw is challenging. It?s very difficult to hit the target, let alone your opponent. The game does get harder when you add in a real opponent considering you?ve got someone staring you in the eye, attempting to shoot you before you get them. If you like interactive multiplayer games for the iPhone and iPod Touch and have a friend or two who would pick this game up, definitely download iQuickraw.

Best Wii-style Iphone app

Review by Turbot

I would have to say I agree with the review that said this is not a simple kiddee game. It seems to take the same kind of skill I imagine a real gun might take. Imagine the iphone is a wii when trying to play quick draw. Using the target to practice helped me get the shots tighter. My tip is to hold your arm steady down at your side and swing it up straight to level, trying not to move left or right (cheat:the trigger will work if you release the screen with your finger as well as touching it) this gives me a pretty accurate shot. Practice slow then try to go fast. 99 cents is a bargain
This is waay better than the ibowl, ibasketball, ibaseball genre I put it more in the flick fishing caliber.

Real Skill Required - Real Fun

I Quick Draw takes some skill, its not one of the lame accelerometer games, it actually requires you to put in a little time to get good. With target practice and the feedback of your time/speed and a map of the target and surrounding area you can dial in your skills pretty quick.
The 2 player mode is sick and the most fun. A REAL GUNFIGHT, with a real winner and loser based on speed and accuracy...sweet.
I want national scoring..cause I'm getting good...I'll call you out, cause I'm quicker than you.

Lot of Bang for a Buck

Very clever use of the Accelerometers and the character voice has just enough antagonism to make you practice to shut him up.  The graphics are good and support three modes with my favorite being the MultiPlayer which uses the WiFi to allow two players to duel against each other in realtime.  Great App!
