Pandorum is the new sci-fi thriller coming out into theaters relatively soon (or maybe you are experiencing this review after it has already come out). The story is a mysterious one where the characters wake up with amnesia on a space station and have no idea what has happened on the ship. All they know is that there is something else on the ship and weird things keep happening. The app is basically a two part thing, It is a promotional piece for the upcoming movie and it is also a third person shooter.
You wake up and have to walk around the space station finding journal entries that let you know what is going on slowly and you pick up various weapons and tools to make your way through.
Along the way, there are some monsters that come out and attack, but I could only really see them as monkey men. The game plays well enough, but each corridor looks exactly the same and the enemies are definitely lack-luster.
So overall, this felt more like a promo piece, it even asked for push notifications so that it could send me updates as to when the movie would come out. So I would say this one is definitely not worth the time. Check out the movie and then try this game if you must. The pace just moved too slow and the enemies were more annoying than exciting or frightful.
