Resident Evil 4 made a great dent in the gaming community when it came out for the Playstation 2 and now it has been released for iPhone in an attempt to give players a chance to relived their most favorite moments in the game. But that coincidentally is the very thing that makes this game different than it's ps2 counterpart.

The game is not a direct port of the beloved classic, but instead it is basically an abridged or shortened version of the game. It has twelve levels that try to culminate the story of the original game but in turn make it feel a bit empty compared to the original. Guns can still be upgraded and there are still boss fights and such, but the full story is missing and you will not find many cutscenes in the game. All in all though, the controls have been improved a lot over Resident Evil:Degeneration and the game still had its classic feel. The graphics looked great for the iPhone and the sound was decent with headphones put in.

Basically, if you are a Resident Evil fan, this game is going to be a necessary buy for your device. Who doesn't want to carry RE4 around on their phone or ipod touch? Though the game seems to be missing some of the fun elements of the original, the overall experience has still stayed very much the same and was a ton of fun to relive. Check it out and start saving Ashley all over again.
