SUMMARY: Search popular sites and blogs for the latest news

Abuzz is a social media app that basically acts as a search engine. The app allows users to enter a keyword and perform a search of a few different popular social media sites. It will search Digg, Twitter and even searches blogs and forums for relevant posts. The app is attempting to make life easier for the reader who loves staying in tune with the latest news on any subject. Once information is found, the app includes a minimal Twitter app so that users can view their Twitter account and post right from the app.

If users find a specific piece of news they enjoy, they can tag it for later viewing. But this app isn't the end all social media search app. It still has enough shortcomings to warrant a second inspection. The service is handy but it leaves out many different social media sites and does not give any options for organization. Scrolling through the news can get tedious and at times wouldn't even produce results for an obvious keyword.

The search runs a little too slow to enjoy and the twitter app is definitely second rate when compared to others. None of this would matter if the app was free or priced cheap, but the cost really does outweigh it's usefulness. It's a great idea overall, but the execution is a little too underdone to warrant a purchase.
