Modern First Person Shooters have dominated the console market. One specific game shattered plenty of records and logged millions of users its first week. Modern Warfare 2 has become an instant favorite among many. It has a lot of different customization and different scenarios to play through. One specific scenario is the AC-130 level where player will be up in an AC-130 Spectre plane. The iPhone AC-130 app is an attempt to remake that classic experience for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Players will enter the seat of three different weapons, the 25mm, 40mm, and 105mm guns and try to take down enemy forces from above. There is a campaign mission to play through which will take the player through a few different scenarios and limit the ammo in each gun. Players can also play a quick game and race against time to take out as many enemies as possible. The game is almost the exact likeness of the experience found in the Call of Duty series which is a great thing.

The animations aren't nearly as complete and there really aren't enough sound effects or explosions though. But for the price the game is being offered, it is definitely worth looking into. There is a free version in the app store so check it out and see if it's for you.
