Alpine Crawler is a physics-based off-roading game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The entire premise of the game is to get your vehicle from point A to point B safely in the time you are given. The app is extremely simple and the chances are you've already played something similar to the game. There are very minimal controls.
You have the option to brake, accelerate and change between reverse and forward. The rest is handled by the physics engine as you bounce over hills and attempt to survive giant falls. There a few things in the game that can be customized such as the vehicle type and look as well as the driver of the vehicle. The graphics in the game are really nothing special and in some ways cheapen the experience. There are some nice environment effects but overall there is not much to brag about. The game does not include a tilt control that can be found in similar apps which was a slight disappointment but the game was still fun.
Overall, the game is nothing too special but for the cheap price it's listed at, it could definitely be worth it for some of you. There is a free version in the app store, so check it out.
