Answers is a social networking app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that connects you to a community of individuals looking to ask and answer questions. This app is similar to the Yahoo! Answers service, except it is specific to these devices.
All you have to do is determine if you want to ask a question or answer questions. To ask a question, select the ASK tab, a category, and write your question out. It will pop up at the top of recent and the top of your category almost immediately. In RECENT or CATEGORIES you can select any question you want to answer, open it up, and start typing a response.
You can also thumbs up or down the other responses.
The Answers community is only policed by the users. That means that you're honestly going to find some of the most unintelligent and insulting questions and answers on this app. People are downright rude in some of the responses that they leave for harmless questions. This can really throw a lot of people off from using this app based on how hostile the community seems.
There are ways to flag questions and answers, but more people will end up avoiding this app then they will police it. It's got an interesting idea as it's so fast to load the questions, but you've got to remember that the majority of people using apps like this will revel in the fact that they can't directly be identified and take full advantage of being anonymous.
