AppVault Pro is a collection of over twenty-five applications of varying capabilities and usefulness. Even if you only use a few of the apps in the package, it could actually save you some money.
The whole concept of packaging together a bunch of useful applications is nothing new. AppVault Pro does exactly what AppBox Pro does, and as a result of their similarities, it’s very tough to say which one is better. Inside this app are twenty-five practical applications that range from a simple flashlight to a more technical loan calculator. Most of the apps are items that you might use on a daily basis. There’s a music alarm clock, battery meter, tip calculator, level and even a bible. There are also some apps you might not use everyday, such as a coin flip, loan calculator and currency converter. One of my favorite apps is the guitar chord finder. This app will visually show you how to play any chord on the guitar. You can also hear each chord and tune your guitar right from the same application.
In addition to the preinstalled apps, you can browse hundreds of web applications that may be of interest to you. These applications need a data connection in order for them to operate correctly. They are somewhat useful, but not nearly as feature-packed as the preinstalled applications.
Every app I tried in AppVault Pro felt like it was made well. Every one is intuitive, smooth and pleasing to the eye. They all run like apps you would pay for separately in the app store. The battery not only tells you how much time you have left for certain tasks, but it also tells you how much time is left until a full charge will be complete. Are you one of those people like me who actually paid for a battery app? For approximately the same price you’re getting the battery app and twenty-four additional apps. Another useful app is the language translator. Type a sentence in and see the translation in whatever language you want. There’s also an app to keep track of holidays, which definitely comes in handy if you’re married. The final app that might have you kicking yourself is the parking app. There are plenty of paid apps that help you find your parked car. Yes, there’s one in this app that does just as good a job.
AppVault is fully customizable as well. You can change the background to any one of five colors. It would be nice to have the option to add your own photo in the background, but there are still plenty of options. You can choose the grid size to be either 3x4 or 4x5. You can also reorder the apps just as you would on the iPhone’s springboard. You can choose to have all of the apps listed, or just the ones you use most often. There are also sound effects that can be turned on or off. I personally enjoy the little clicking sounds as I navigate from app to app.
Overall, AppVault Pro is an extremely useful application, containing plenty of practical, everyday items. Even if you only use three of the twenty-five plus apps, you will save yourself some money. You’ll also save some space on your iPhone’s springboard. I highly recommend picking this one up.
