Astraware Sudoku is a Sudoku game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Sudoku games have been flooding onto the App store since launch and many of them aren?t even worth looking at. In fact most of them aren?t even worth looking at. This is fairly surprising considering how straight forward of a game Sudoku is, but Astraware Sudoku offers plenty of interesting features to justify its existence.
At its core, it?s just another Sudoku game. You can pick from five different difficulty levels so you?re not struggling to beat a level that?s way above your head. After that, Astraware steps up the game a little bit by offering some interesting features. First off, there are always puzzles available for you. For each difficulty level there is one puzzle of the day. As you beat them, you?re given the option to submit your time and see how you compare against other players.
When you?re playing a puzzle, the game is working on creating more randomized puzzles for you to play. It also allows you to enter in puzzles you?re working on from newspapers and other sources so that you can complete them on there and use the extra tools it offers. There?s the ability to mark a square as a possibility, ask for a hint, and you can even have the whole thing solved for you as you watch. Basically, if you?re having trouble, this app can help you with it.
The only issue with this app is that it does cost. With so many Sudoku games out there, it?s a shame that the one with the most to offer has a price tag on it. IF you?re hard core committed to Sudoku, this app would most likely save you money over time as you wouldn?t have to buy puzzle books and what not.
