Backgrounds is a utility for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to easily find a new background for your device. While you could always go search online for a specific background, having an app that specifically offers you images formatted for your device in an easily browse-able fashion.

When you load up the app you'll be presented with four images and five buttons. The four images are different backgrounds that you can click on to get as full screen. This is much nicer than just seeing one image at a time. The five buttons consist of three buttons labeled Popular, Recent, and Category; plus forward and reverse buttons.

Popular and recent will show you the images in the same format. You'll receive four at a time and you can browse through page after page of those. Categories will give you a good deal of categories to search through and select from. Then, once you've found the one you like, you'll be presented with four images per page just like in popular and recent.

When you find an image you like, select it and hit save. The developer clearly states that the images are saved in the highest resolution possible, so when you go to set these as background images, you'll need to do some zooming and cropping for some of them. This won't effect the image quality at all either. Backgrounds makes finding a background for your iPhone that much easier. Definitely check this app out.
