There are so many different musical instrument apps out their for the iPhone that it's hard to figure out which one is best for what you want to do. That's why Band has decided to put together essentially the essential mix of all the instruments you could need into one app.

Instead of loading up the different instruments or finding multiple iPhones/iPod Touches to recreate a full band sound, all you need to do is load up Band. The app gives you several instruments to work with. You've got bass, rhythm guitar, piano, electronic drums, a regular drum set, and a full crowd. You can easily switch between the instruments too.

What's really great about this app is that not only can you play each instrument, but you can record and loop them as well. So when you decide that you've got the perfect drum beat down, you can record it and keep it playing so its easy to get the bass beat down on top of it. Plus you can loop multiple tracks at once.

Band raises the bar as to what you should expect out of an instrument app for the iPhone. The ability to record and loop it back while playing a new instrument makes everything very interesting and enjoyable. While it could use a guitar function similar to Chord Play to make the entire app more enjoyable. It's still definitely worth picking up if you're musically inclined.
