Banner Deluxe is an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that lets you turn your device into a scrolling banner. This app has a lot of bells and whistles but unfortunately still hits the same issues as the other banner apps we?ve reviewed.

This app is broken up into six different tabs for you to manipulate your images. The tabs are Text, Theme, Backdrop, Font, Text Texture, and Option. The Text tab is where you?ll enter in what text you?d like to scroll across the screen. Theme will let you pick an entire package of backdrop and font, or you can select them individually in those tabs. Text Texture will allow you to determine what the text looks like. And options is the settings area for the app.

There aren?t many options, but they?re pretty interesting. You can change the speed from -10 to 10, turn off autosleep so your phone doesn?t shut down, and even set multiple displays. With multiple displays you can have up to 10 devices lined up displaying the same message if you enter it in correctly in all of them. This looks pretty cool, but that would be quite the hefty investment for something so small.

The app is a cool idea, but it can?t be used like the developers think it can. Using this at a sporting event or anything that involves the person being more than a few feet away makes the app useless. Even with 10 of them going at it, it wouldn?t work. The price they?re asking is pretty high, so we?re going to recommend that you try the lite version or a free alternative.
