SUMMARY: Play a game of Frogger in a new format

Check out, because your kids deserve the very best educational apps!

Every now and then I get to review an app that looks to be something, and turns out to be a completely different beast. Banzai Rabbit for the iPhone is definitely one of those apps.

At first glance, the game seems like it’s going to be an 3D adventure game. But upon closer inspection, the game takes on a completely different look. The game is essentially a 3D version of Frogger. Yes, the little frog who dodges cars. In fact, the game is so much like Frogger, it’s kind of ridiculous. The story is your average two-scientists-fall-accidentally-into-a-machine-which-fuses-their-DNA-with-animals scenario. The good one becomes a rabbit-like man and the bad one becomes a flea-like man.

Of course, the bad scientist is bent on controlling the world while the good one desires to win the heart of the girl and save the day. The controls are basic, a swipe up, down, left, and right will move our hero accordingly. There’s not much more to the game than that. It ran smooth but was a very simple formula. Not my particular cup of tea but it definitely could be fun for anyone who enjoys simple arcade games. Check it out.
