Baseball Superstars is a cartoony baseball game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game offers more than just your standard game of baseball by allowing you to create and train your own player and many other interesting features.

The game offers quite a few features. First off, there are 10 different teams to pick from, 4 stadiums for you to play in, and twelve hidden players. These hidden players allow you to do some pretty cool special moves when you?re up to bat or pitching, but you need to build up enough power to use them. The five game modes that you can play through in this game are normal mode, my league, season mode, homerun mode, and mission mode. Normal is just a pick up game, my league allows you to create and focus on a batter or pitcher, season is a full season of games, homerun mode is homerun derby, and mission mode sets you up against sticky situations that you?ll have to get yourself out of.

The game is a lot of fun and a lot of work when you?re dealing with playing a full game or building up your character. When the ball is in play, you need to direct where your players throw the ball to. Most of the field work is handled for you by the AI meaning you don?t have to quickly select a player and run them under the ball, but once you?ve got the ball in hand you better be on your toes or the other team is going to end up safe.

This app offers a really full featured baseball experience with a cartoon twist. The only issue is that this game feels like a port. Granted the series has been running since 2005 on other platforms, so it is a port, but the numbers next to the menu options just make it feel a little unprofessional. This won?t take away from your gaming experience at all, but it does make you wonder what a little more polish would have done to the game.
