The classic game of battleship has already been brought to the iPhone and iPod Touch through many different games but never officially been a released title. Now EA has taken the original game and offered an experience that is closest to the classic board game the iPhone has seen. The game provides 3 different modes to play through featuring a classic mode, the salvo mode, and the superweapons mode.

The classic mode plays just like the original battleship, the salvo mode gives players the option to fire as many shots as they have ships on the board per turn, and the superweapons mode gives player many different superweapons to use throughout their game. The app plays very smooth but has some huge load times making the game go on for a bit. The animations are good and add a fun feel to the game though they can be disabled if they are getting in the way.

The game was pretty hard to play against the computer as it always seemed to know where my ships were. There is an option for multiplayer via wifi or bluetooth but no internet play. The wifi and bluetooth would occasionally disconnect which was annoying. But overall, this is the best Battleship I have seen for the iPhone and is definitely the one I would recommend to buy.
