BeejiveIM is another instant messaging app that allows you use EDGE, 3G, or WiFi to connect to your existing accounts and chat with others. This app is a little more expensive then the other iPhone instant messaging apps we've had a chance to review, but it does have plenty of really useful features that will make it worth the price for some users.
There are a lot of different accounts available for you to use with BeejiveIM. The first thing you'll need to do is choose which account(s) you'll want to activate from the following: AIM/MobileMe, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN/Windows Live, MySpace IM, and Yahoo! Messenger. The app also allows you to send SMS messages to your friends, but it does this through either AIM or Yahoo! Messenger.
Each account you setup will be listed in the accounts tab afterwards with it's own individual options. You can change your status on each account or you can do it for all of them at once. You can also sort through your buddy lists by each account to make things easier to view.
Two features make BeejiveIM stand out from the other instant messaging clients: you can turn your iPhone sideways to chat in widescreen and you can enable alerts through pushmail so you can close the app and still be signed on. Depending on what you use your instant messaging clients for will determine if this app is worth the money for you, but with that aside, it's the best of its kind.
