Beneath a Steel Sky is a British 1994 point and click game in the cyberpunk genre quoting Wikipedia. The game was a large hit in the US as well with different beer labels even being applied to the object held up in the games opening credits for advertising. The games main gameplay plays out like many before and after it like The Secret of Monkey Island.
It follows the story of a man who is taken from his rural home to the large city mysteriously but escapes and then must find out what is going on. The game is set in a humorous way based on solving puzzles and listening to witty dialogue.
I must say that the controls of the game are some of the best on the iPhone that can be found for this genre. The game has been remastered with new cutscenes and better sound quality giving a much fresher feel. Moving and interacting with objects is a ton easier with points of interest being highlighted by holding down your finger and then by tapping on one, you can choose to examine or interact with it. It worked fluidly and I never had any problems.
Overall, the game is a great example again of an awesome genre brought to modern technology. If you are a fan of the genre, definitely grab this game as it will keep you busy for a while and is actually fun to play.
