BlogPress is an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to post directly to your blogs from anywhere you can connect to the internet. BlogPress does offer a good deal of features, allowing it to push its way into the competitive market of blog posting apps, but it does have some drawbacks to it.
BlogPress has support for: Blogger, BlogSpot, MSN Live Spaces, WordPress, Movable Type, TypePad, LiveJournal, and Drupal. Just like all other blog clients, they?re always looking to expand and will add other platforms in future updates. BlogPress also offers support for Picasa Web Albums so that you can upload pictures to your blogs regardless of what platform it is. If you don?t have your own Picasa Web Album, you can always take advantage of the free one they offer.
The basic features are all included in BlogPress. You can add labels or tags, set the category, change the publishing date, save as draft, and even edit or delete live posts. What sets BlogPress out from the other blog posting apps is its ability to insert more than one picture per post and post your blog to multiple platforms at once.
BlogPress is a paid app and it?s a really great app overall, but it does fall short in a few ways. While it does allow you to insert multiple pictures in a post, those pictures are thumbnails that lead to your Picasa Web Album. Also, there isn?t a formatted web browser built in to make viewing your posts easier. It has its pro?s and con?s but overall, BlogPress is a pretty decent app.
