The Bloons series of games started out as a collection of flash games online and I am excited to see them making their debut on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Bloons Tower Defense if arguably the best tower defense game ever created by mortal man. Ok, that may be just my personal bias, but the game is undoubtedly good.

Featuring monkeys that throw darts and other crazy contraptions, the game tosses balloons and many other things at you until you eventually can't take it anymore. The features some of the tracks that are in the original online version and also some brand new ones created for the iPhone version. Just like the online version you can still choose to keep playing the level even after you completed it which makes it a challenge to see just how high you can get

If you enjoy tower defense games and haven't yet played this gem of a game, check it out right now. It is still, by far, my favorite tower defense game because of all the different towers that you can add and the complexity of the balloons that come through. The controls worked fluidly for the most part. There were some issues when I tried to grab an object but grabbed a different one instead. But that only happened occasionally. Overall, they have taken an excellent game and brought it to the iPhone and iPod Touch and I am so glad they did. Check it out.
