Brain Thaw is a math based puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game may seem simple at first, but unless you?re really quick with your math, you?ll be surprised how challenging it can get.

Each level is going to provide you with thirty squares for you to move around on. Tapping on a square will bring your penguin over to it. Double tapping will eat that specific square. While you?re moving around, you?ll need to avoid the yeti?s that will eat you if you cross their path.

You can?t just eat any square unfortunately. You have to follow the rules for that specific level. These rules are all various forms of multiplication or fractions. For example, you may have to find all the multiples of three or all the factors of twelve. Each level will get increasingly more difficult mathwise and also add in additional yeti?s to make your life more difficult.

With only a set number of lives and the fact that you need to dodge yeti?s, this game can be very challenging. It?s not necessarily a fun game, but if you need to brush up on your multiplication and fractions, this app will definitely help you accomplish that.
