Bugdom 2 is a really interesting adventure game for the iPhone. You take control of Skip McFly, a young grasshopper who is simply out for a day of adventuring. The game is entirely in 3D and the accelerometer is the control scheme for Skip. Every turn you take or tilt you make moves Skip in another direction and brings him one step closer to exploring a new area.
Controlling Skip is difficult at first. It takes awhile to figure out exactly how far you need to tilt to get him moving forward and backwards. You can adjust the sensitivity, but that will make it much more difficult when you have to slow down and pick up different objects. To pick up an object, all you need to do is a quick swipe down on the screen and Skip will have it in hand.
Skip can also jump by tapping the screen once. He can hover/fly if you press it again while he's in mid air. This move slowly brings him down to the ground, but it helps when you're going over obstacles. The point of the game is to explore, and you'll find tons of different animals who need you to find them an item for them to give you something to unlock a new area.
Once you get past the learning curve, Bugdom 2 is a lot of fun. The controls are very unique for an adventure game on the iPhone and the play style is very similar to that of Banjo Kazooie. There's a lot to do in this game and it will keep you busy for awhile, but it can get rather frustrating at times considering the camera angles can't be changed.
