SUMMARY: A fun and easy-to-use Music Quiz app.

If you’re like me, you have hundreds of songs on your phone or iPod that you never listen to. If you’ve ever wanted to discover, or rediscover, some of those songs you vigorously pass through to get to your favorites, or just test your knowledge of your music, then this may be the app for you to check out.

First of all, the game is a treat for the eyes. The bright colors really pop off the screen to keep you interested in the game. It’s obvious that a lot of time was put into the graphic appeal.

The app works as you would expect: You go through a series of rounds that ask you to guess the song based on the intro that’s played, name the album of the song being played, identify the genre, etc. A short, medium, and long mode are available, each varying in the number of questions in each round. There is a multiplayer mode where the buttons for each four answers are split in half, and it works just fine, but it seems it would be very easy for you to copy the answer of your opponent. An online WiFi match or even local Bluetooth would be a nice feature.

All of the buttons are always very responsive, and I rarely have a problem with choosing the wrong answer. The user interface is very clean and straightforward. A couple of options are available to edit the duration of the questions and the pause between the questions, toggle sound effects on and off, and choose the playlists you desire.

You are given the choice of several sound effects for right and wrong answers. Most of the sounds are strange, though – out of character for the app. Another issue with sounds is the random speeding up of a song during a match. While some may consider this a good challenge, I found it to be an annoyance. It took me a while to realize that it was actually supposed to happen and that the application wasn’t malfunctioning.

Although it could use a bit of tweaking, I still highly recommend this app. It has helped me find countless songs that I haven\'t listen to in a while or haven’t listened to at all. With easy-to-use controls, a beautiful interface, and endless re-playability value, I would most definitely cough up the teensy price being asked.
