SUMMARY: Brighten your photos with a digital flash

Camera Flash is an app that is attempting to accomplish one goal with its features. It claims to add a software-based camera flash effect to photos that are taken through it. It will take the photo that you capture using the app and add a "flash". I say that with quotation marks because let\'s be honest, There is no such thing as a digital flash. You cannot add light that wasn\'t there to begin with, you can only try to lighten the details that were captured in first place. This is really what this app is doing.

So let\'s take a look. Taking a picture with this app is required and users cannot import pictures into the app itself. So this is trying to serve as a camera replacement then. Automatically, I am a bit skeptical because one or two extra steps have been added to my picture taking process. But it\'s adding flash right? Testing the app out, it really didn\'t make that big of a difference. It almost looked as if the exposure was popped up a tiny bit and the contrast was increased. Either way, I didn\'t see enough difference to call this a revolutionary app.

For a camera replacement, it was a bit too cumbersome and didn\'t have many navigational options and for a photo editing app it couldn\'t import and we\'ve seen apps with similar abilities and tons more features. Especially for the price that its developers are asking for it, I can\'t in good conscience recommend it. It is a featherweight app compared to some of the heavy hitters out there and costs the same as most. I suggest passing on this app
