Cartoon Wars is an excellent game with some interesting characters and great animations. The latest in the series, Cartoon Wars Gunner, focuses more on a side-scrolling fighting game this time around. Anyone familiar with Double Dragon, Ninja Turtles, Battletoads, or Castle Crashers will immediately understand the feel of the game. The player controls the lone character on the screen and the goal is to eliminate all enemies in the road.

As the player goes through levels, they will earn money that can be spent on upgrading weapons and features. Each level grows harder and requires better upgrades to complete them. The animation in the game was great and there were many times when I wasn't sure if I could complete the level. There are a large amount of levels to earn and the game eventually becomes a little boring. But for the ridiculously cheap price it is offered for, the game is a definite buy.

It is a ton of fun and will offer hours of customization and upgrading. A large complaint I have is that the controls were sometimes hard to manage and sometimes the gun would stop shooting right when I needed it the most. But overall the game is definitely worth grabbing and is a great step up from the original Cartoon Wars. Check it out.
