Castle of Magic is a platformer/adventure game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Created by Gameloft, the game features some great elements that we have come to expect from platformers thanks to games like Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog. The storyline follows a young kid who accidentally frees an evil wizard and must now save his sister. He is transported to a magical world and finds himself with new magical powers.

The 3D graphics run great on the devices and made for some fun changes in perspective while I played. The kid has some special powers that is freakishly like a combination of Mario and Sonic mixed into one. He can shoot magic and bumps blocks with his head to unlock different costumes which give him completely different powers. Tapping the jump button a second time will allow the player to jump even higher and holding the button down will let the character float down using his hat and cape. The game feels very similar to Mario Brothers and therefore it can be said that the gameplay works wonderfully. I really didn't get bored with the game much while playing and it had a TON of levels and areas to unlock before the game finished.

Overall, if you like platform games and really want one that feels natural on your device, check out Castle of Magic. It has just enough story, gameplay, and interesting aspects to stay entertaining for the long haul. It definitely justifies the price. Check it out and see for yourself.
