Catch the Egg is a game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that has you do exactly what the title says: catch the egg. In this accelerometer based game, you'll have to move around a good deal to actually succeed at this game, so make sure you've got plenty of room around you before you give it a shot.

The game relies completely on the accelerometer. What you do is hold the phone above your head and find the egg mysteriously floating in the sky. From there, the game will start a countdown timer to let you know the egg is about to fall. When it falls, your objective is to catch it by following it down with your iPhone and shaking it just enough before it hits the ground.

If you do this right, you'll wind up with an uncracked egg in your hand. If you miss, the egg winds up broken on the ground. If you catch it too hard, then the egg ends up cracked in your hand. Each level raises the height that the egg is at, making it that much more difficult to catch.

Catch the Egg is definitely a unique game for the iPhone. It offers a completely different gaming experience, but that might also turn some people off from playing it. You really can't play this game without a good deal of space so you'll find yourself resorting to other games more often. If you like accelerometer games, definitely check this one out.
