ColorDrop is a utility that allows you to pick a color out of a picture directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch. This app isn?t very complex, but it definitely is handy when trying to figure out a specific color.
The way the app works is simple. You?ll want to start off in the Eye Dropper tab where you can either take a picture directly or you can load one up from your gallery. Considering you can?t save the picture through the app, it?s best that you go through the gallery. After the picture has been loaded up you can drag the picture to line up with the eye dropper in the center of the screen. The little square in the lower right will show you the current color you?re pulling in.
Once you get the color you?re looking for, you can press the load color button. This enters all the information up in the Color Picker tab. Here you can view the colors build in red, green, and blue or view it in hex. Whichever way you want to view it you can. At the top there?s room for you to enter in a name to save the color as. Once you do this and press the save button, you can revisit the color in the Color Gallery.
