Comiczeal makes viewing comic books on the iPhone a lot simpler. This easy to use comic book viewer works only with the websites and comics that Comiczeal is programmed to work with. So while you may not exactly be downloading the latest Marvel comic, it's still pretty useful.
Just like all of the other picture viewers we've seen, this one gives you the ability to skip between the pages at your own pace. You can pinch the screen to zoom wherever you like. Considering comic books are broken up into different panels, it's very handy that you can do this.
The downloading part of the app is interesting. When you add more to your library, the app will exit and load up Safari.
From there you can browse through all of the different comics that they have available. When you find one you like, simply tap on it and watch the app go to work. You'll enter back into the app and the download will begin.
The concept behind this app is great. The issue is that the comics are all really old and most of them are titles you will never hear again. This may work out to be useful for larger comic book publishers or even indie labels to get involved in. But as of right now, it's only good for reading stories like Romantic Adventures.
