I have yet to meet someone who hasn't played the game connect 4 against their grandpa or a little kid. The game is notoriously easy and simple to play although I always seem to get caught up on the diagonals. Now instead of pulling out the rack and having your brother throw all the round pieces across the room, you can pull out you iPhone or iPod Touch and play away to your heart's content. The game is well put together with animations flowing extremely smoothly and rarely ever having hiccups. There is really not much to say about this game as it really is a simple game.
If there is some way that you haven't played the game, the whole goal is to connect 4 pieces in a row by taking turns stacking. The game can be played in the classic mode, or multiplayer via wifi and bluetooth as well as taking turns on the same device. There are also 4 different advanced gametypes which take the formula and add new concepts like powerups and time trials. These modes were fun and gave the game some new life.
The game is priced in the medium range for such a simple game. The price seems a bit high for such a simple game which makes me a little nervous to recommend it. But it definitely is a quality game and is perfect for playing a quick game or two. Check it out.
