Cooking is a skill that not many of us can say we have. But luckily, there's Cooking Mama. Many of you may have already played this game on various systems in the past, but now it's available on the iPhone. The game desires to put the player in the apron and let them shake, bake, chop and fry their way to a fun time. The game plays like a set of minigames. Players choose a recipe they would like to make, and jump right in to preparing the meal.

All the controls have been set to take full advantage of the iPhone and iPod Touch. Anyone who has played the popular Wii title Warioware: Smooth Moves will immediately understand the type of gameplay that Cooking Mama is offering. The iPhone will become a skillet, chopping board and much more as you follow the steps carefully to produce your masterpiece. The game is very fast-paced and after each small step, you are rated on how well you accomplished your task. There are two modes of play in the app. There is the Cooking Mama where the player will cook with mama any meal from the list, some of which can be unlocked, and there is the Cooking Contest mode which allows players to practice a variety of recipes and techniques.

Overall, this game is a pretty fun game to sit down with and play around. It may become a bit boring after a while of playing, but the unlockable recipes help to keep the game from getting too mundane. There is a free version offered in the app store so check it out first before forking over the money for the full app.
