Considering that CrazyLighter is a paid app, it's only fair that it gets it's own review. At one point CrazyLighter was actually free to download, making it a lot more appealing. But for whatever reason, the developers of the app have decided that they should be compensated for bringing a lighter to the iPhone.
This lighter app does stand out from the others for a few reasons besides just the cost. CrazyLighter actually lets you interact with the lighter. You can flick the top of the lighter or shake the iPhone and watch the fire start or stop, depending on how you left it. Plus, it also has the option to never go into sleep mode. While this doesn't seem like a lot, the other apps need to be set to no autolock or you wind up looking like more of a goon when you're waving that around at your next concert.
The background behind the flame isn't lit up at all. It's pretty much a solid black, making the flame stand out and actually look more realistic than the other lighter apps. While you still can't manipulate the flame in this app, nor can you select from other lit objects, you're clearly getting an advantage over the free solutions.
The confusing thing about this app is that someone decided to charge for it. If it was free the competition wouldn't exist at all. But having to shell out any amount of money for something more novelty then PhoneSaber was is difficult to accept. Pass on buying CrazyLighter unless you're going to a series of concerts that demand you have a lighter app on your iPhone.
