Cube Runner 2 is a game for the iPhone and iPod touch where your goal is to navigate your ship through a field of blocks without hitting any of them. This game is made by the same developer who brought you the original cube runner so the original game is included with a few extra features.
Cube Runner 2 feels like it should have been called Cube Runner Premium or something to that effect. The original game is available to play, along with a time trial mode, the ability to download new maps from the web directly to your phone, and a complete level and object editor. These are all great features, but they make the game more involved then it's pick up and play original version.
The editor is very in depth and allows you to even modify the ship that you're flying. Cube Runner 2 allows you to build bridges and tunnels with the editor as well instead of being limited to the small blocks from the first one. You can really go nuts with the editor and the best part is you can test it out right from the editor to see how well it works. This is a good way to judge the difficulty when building it.
If you're just interested in playing Cube Runner for fun, you may want to stick with the original as it's free. But if you're the type who likes to create levels and modify objects you should definitely check out Cube Runner 2. Cube Runner 2 adds a lot more maps and options to the game, but for such a simple game only the hardcore fans will find the additions worth buying.
