Dashball is a puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that brings breakout to a new level. In Dashball, you have a lose control of the ball bouncing around the screen which you guide with the help of the accelerometer. Your goal is to clear all the blocks on the level while avoiding the red blocks as they end your game.
The color of your ball dictates what color blocks you can destroy. To change the color of your the ball, all you need to do is find the star block matching the color you want to switch to and hit it.
Not all blocks can be destroyed, like the ones with the arrows on them, so keep this in mind when playing.
The full version offers over 25 different levels and the best part is you don't have to beat a level to move on. If you get stuck, simply switch to the next puzzle and come back to that one later. Granted, you won't be able to continue where you left of if you quit mid puzzle, but most of them are short enough where that wouldn't be an issue
The biggest issue with Dashball is the controls. Sometimes you feel like you're not as in control as you should be, making many levels very difficult. It's definitely enjoyable and having a free version will allow iPhone users to give this game a chance before buying the full version.
