Dexter for the iPhone and iPod Touch is a game based off the hit tv series about a serial killer with a cause. You take control of Dexter as he finds a reason to kill someone bad, stalks them, and then proceeds to do the dirty deed. Personally I find it a little sickening that someone would want to play the role of a serial killer but hey, whatever floats your boat. The game is essentially a collection of minigames centered around the plots found in the tv season.
You start out trying to collect evidence about the potential target that will link him to a dastardly deed. This basically means walking around finding highlighted objects and interacting with them. Once you find all objects you are taken to a cutscene and this is basically the progression throughout the game.
You stalk the target, then cutscene. You seal the room, then cutscene. You interrogate and then a minigame for killing them then cutscene.
Overall, the app is once again an example of a game created solely for the purpose of riding on the success of a tv show or movie. The gameplay is direct and tedious and doesn't really make for a fun experience. If you are a fan of the show, this game may be interesting enough. But if you are looking for a fun game to go on your iPhone or iPod Touch, I'd suggest grabbing something else.
