Dragon's Lair is a HUGE blast from the past. The game was originally conceived as an arcade game in the 80's and was hailed as an amazing piece of work with some extremely difficult, quarter-chomping gameplay. The game is based off the artwork of acclaimed animator Don Bluth. It features a knight named Dirk the Daring who is on a quest to save the Princess Daphne from a dragon and evil wizard.
The game is a reaction-based game where player must press the right direction or button in time so that Dirk can fight and dodge his way through the castle. Each successful or failed attempt results in a new animation and some extremely frustrating moments. The game was very popular in the 80's and is regarded as a classic to many gamers. As such, the game is fairly simple with very little replay value. Some players may feel it is a little boring but most of you I believe will enjoy it's animation and humor while you struggle through it's crazy moments.
The price is pretty high for such a simple game which makes me a little hesitant to recommend it. But if you have a desire to experience one of the most acclaimed arcade games of the 80's, check out Dragon Lair. It will definitely have you hitting yourself every time you miss a button.
