If you?ve ever played the classic game of duck hunt, you?ll instantly be familiar with Duck Hunting for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game was made to share quite a bit of similarities with the original game, so don?t expect anything amazing.
The game play for Duck Hunting is simple. You have three bullets at a time and are capable of reloading them by pressing the button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Tapping on the screen shoots one of your bullets, so your goal is to hit the ducks that fly past your field of view. The object of the game is to shoot all of the ducks without wasting any extra ammo and avoiding the doves that occasionally fly around.
Duck Hunting has added a few things to spruce up this old concept.
There are four different level backgrounds for you to play through the unlimited amount of levels this game offers. You?ll also be able to compete score wise either online against the world or head to head with others who use your device. This added content isn?t going to keep you hooked on the game for an extended period of time, but it may just offer you that extra few hours that you?ve been looking for.
It?s hard to justify spending money on a clone of a game that came free when you bought the original Nintendo. It didn?t even come with it?s own cartridge on that system, let alone a separate cost. While this game is a nice throwback to some of the more classic days of video gaming, the truth is, you just can?t replicate the feeling of actually using the light gun on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Unless you?re a huge fan of Duck Hunt, pass on this title.
