Edge is a platform game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Where other platform games seem to focus on the character and story, Edge just focuses on the challenge and the atmosphere.
The game is a 3D platformer where you take control of a multicolored cube. Your goal is to complete the level by making it all the way to the end of the map while collecting all of the prisms located throughout the level. Depending on the level, these prisms could be easy to find or could be fairly well hidden, but thanks to your mini-map you?ll have a better chance of finding them.
You control your cube by touching and dragging in the direction you want to go.
This isn?t the easiest set of controls that we?ve come across as you?re not exactly facing things head on. The learning curve for this game is pretty steep and the first few levels won?t really help you out enough to master the controls, but you?ll have a good idea of how they work.
The game offers thirteen different tunes over twenty-six levels. Each level you complete will give you a grade for the time you finished the level in and number of prisms you?ve collected. With the complexity of the levels and the replay factor that this title offers, it?s definitely worth it for some, but others may find the introductory price just a little bit too high.
