Eliminate Pro has already made a name for itself as being one of the best, if not the best, first-person shooter in the app store. Now, ngmoco gives you the opportunity to play online with a friend in Eliminate: CO-OP. The game is basically the same as the pro version, with the exception of cooperative play and a new game mode called “extermination.”

The gameplay, controls, graphics and sound are all the same as Eliminate Pro. However, there are a few new features in this co-op version. Obviously, you can team up with a friend and play the extermination game mode in which you must defeat all the battle drones before the reactor explodes. The better you perform, the more energy you earn and the longer you are able to play. Once your energy is depleted, there is a certain amount of time that must go by before you can play again. Yes, this is very frustrating for most users, but the great thing about it is that it rewards excellent gameplay. If you do well, you won’t have to wait as long before the next match. There are now ten multiplayer maps to play in, each offering a unique challenge to the gameplay.

The new extermination mode is pretty fun to play. Your objective is to kill all the drones before the reactor explodes and ends the game. The drones are difficult to kill, so you really need your partner to help out. When starting a random game, it’s basically a crapshoot to see whether or not you’ll get partnered up with someone who’s actually going to fight with you, or just hide in the corner.

Everything you earn in this application is perfectly transferable to Eliminate Pro. Also, you can play the standard multiplayer matches in this game as well. It’s a bit confusing as to why there are two different apps and not just one single game with all of these features combined. But, regardless, they are free games that are extremely fun to play. The controls work well, the graphics are top-notch, and the gameply is smooth, with very little lag. If you’re a shooter fan and haven’t tried this or Eliminate Pro yet, you need to download it right now.
