Engadget is to most of the tech world one of the best news sources for the latest and greatest in technology. They offer some amazing coverage of new events and devices as well as some great articles on current technology. The site has now released an app tailored specifically to bring that content to your device in a visually appealing and media-rich way. The app offers access to the three main sections of Engadget. Users can access the basic Engadget blog, the mobile section, and the EngadgetHD section.

All three sections offer the latest articles, videos and pictures that the site has gathered.

Users can bookmark any article they find interesting for later reading or login and comment straight from the app. As an app that basically accesses a website, I had the question of why I would want the app when I could just go to the site. But the app offers a much more efficient way of browsing the media than their mobile version.

Everything in the app is tailored for the iPhone and iPod Touch while the mobile site still deals with the browser restrictions. Overall the app is well-made and if you like Engadget, it will be a definite grab. The app is available for free in the app store so check it out and stay up with the latest gadget news.
