There have been a lot of people out there in the iPhone kingdom that have yearned for an app that gives players a flight combat game in a free roaming world. We had tried games like Top Gun only to be disappointed by its linear gameplay. Well now F.A.S.T has been released and it is not out to disappoint. Featuring an open flight gameplay with all the perks of a fighter game, this app is set to define the genre on the iPhone. The game offers some standard elements like regular mounted guns and missiles that can be fired as well as flares that can be sent out to lose incoming missiles from enemy craft.

The game plays wonderfully but the controls may get in the way of comfortable gameplay. It really takes some concentration to follow enemies and take them down. That being said, the game itself is truly fun to play. It ran smooth and kept me trying to complete the missions. If that's not enough, the game also offers multiplayer fights between other players online so players can compete for the top spot. Players can also connect via bluetooth and fight each other giving some great options for different multiplayer games.

For an app that provides so much open ended fighting and great gameplay, the only true complaint I could come up with was the hard to master controls. But they were very intuitive and I didn't struggle with learning as much as I did becoming proficient with them. For a medium range price, this app is worth the money for those who want a quality jet fighter game on their device, check it out.
