Flick Bowling has come crashing into the virtual sports app category for the iPhone and left no pin standing. This game is exactly what bowling should be for the iPhone. It's fun, colorful, and best of all, you don't have to swing your iPhone around like it's a bowling ball.
The developers of Flick Bowling really put a lot of time and effort into the model design. Not only are there multiple characters to choose from, but each one looks very different and even has a back story to them. You're also not just looking at a lane that has nobody on it and throwing a plain old ball. In this game, you pick your ball of choice, position your character, and flick away.
The whole bowling part of the game is excellent. At first it might be difficult to get everything right, considering that flicking can happen prematurely, but once you learn how to do it correctly you'll be perfect. If you continue to get gutterballs or miss those easy spares, your character will start to look a little down. That's a nifty little indicator that you stink and need to start practicing more.
This game was created by the same people who brought you Moto Chaser. The graphics are just as sharp and the gameplay is excellent. There really isn't anything lacking from this game, so if you like bowling games, definitely check this out. If you're not sure whether you like bowling games or not, chances are you'll enjoy this title.
