Flight of the Hamsters is another Cartoon Network game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. While their first visit to this device was through their more mature Adult Swim brand, this game takes place within the Kids Next Door Universe.
Don?t be fooled by how kiddy this game seems at first glance, it?s actually very addicting. In this game, you?ll be launching five hamsters per round in an attempt to get the highest round score and highest individual score. You?re not just flinging these hamsters and seeing where they go though, you?re actually going to have a bit of control. While these little creatures are flying through the air you can tap the screen or tilt your device to enter into glide mode. You?ve only got so much so make it count.
While you?re in the air you?ll get the chance to interact with many different powerups. These range from hamster balls that will help you bounce once you hit the ground to jets and fans that will keep you flying high. It?s possible to drag out a launch for quite some time so don?t expect to hit the ground that often once you get the hang of the game.
For such a low price, this game is definitely worth picking up. It?s a fun game for pretty much anyone with an iPhone and iPod Touch. Granted, it?s not an original concept and it?s not going to be the type of game you?re just itching to play, but it does hold its own in the pick up and play category that it belongs in.
