We've all played at least one game that attempts to replicate the feel of Grand Theft Auto on the iPhone. The problem is most of them have either been too buggy or just too simple to really make for a decent game. Gangstar: West Coast Hustle is a game produced by iPhone gaming juggernaut Gameloft that is in my opinion the closest thing to Grand Theft Auto that we can get for the device. And let me tell you, it comes pretty darn close.

Whether it be the smooth 3D graphics that somehow run perfectly on the device or the actual rich content that the game provides, it is definitely the best street game that can be found. The game is actually in third person which makes it already 15 million times better than looking at your character from a bird's eye view.

The game provides a decent weapon selection, car jacking, cop chases, missions, and cheesy street dialogue just like the console games. The world is actually pretty large and I finally felt like I could just walk around it and discover new things instead of the same pasted environment of some games. A lot of thought has been put into this game and it is very clear that this was meant to be a larger release. You can even select from different radio stations in the game. The interface is smooth and fast with plenty of options to customize the controls to your liking.

If you're into games for the criminal minded, check this app out. It is almost everything you could ask for on the iPhone. Just make sure you restart your device before trying to play.
