Gestures is a photo manipulation app for the iPhone that allows you to bring out your inner artist. Sort of. If your thing is taking an existing imagine and either pointilizing it automatically or you're going to manually apply your own brush strokes. From there you can save the image in your gallery or even share it on the web.
The app gives you the ability to select your own photo whether you're planning on taking one directly or pulling one from your library. From there you enter the photo editing phase of the app that gives you just a few options to play around with. At the bottom you'll notice a few buttons: Undo, Magnify, Paintbrush, View, and Options. Some of them allows you to do a few different things too.
If you just tap Undo, it will undo the last move you make. If you double tap it, you can select to undo one move, ten moves, or all moves. Magnify lets you zoom in on a specific area. Paintbrush allows you to set the size of the brush you'll be using. View shows the whole picture with your brush strokes or just your brush strokes. And options lets you save the photo, share it on the web, or pointilize it.
What's disappointing about this app is that you can't simply set the paintbrush at a larger size and hit pointilize and have it use that specific brush size. Gesture costs a bit for what it does and even if you're good with brush strokes, you'll probably get sick of using it after awhile. Overall, you can probably pass on buying Gesture.
